Edition/Basel

Edition/Basel is a twelve-day residency for artists working in intaglio, relief, lithography, letterpress techniques, and cyanotype. It regularly takes place at the printmaking studio druckwerk in the center of Basel, Switzerland, though occasionally finds its home in other places.

The program creates opportunities for creative exchange between international artists, united by a shared passion for printmaking. Founded in 2012 by Megan Adie (USA) and joined in 2013 by Margarit Lehmann (Switzerland), it has welcomed artists from around the world. Each session is guided by a theme—chosen collectively, interpreted individually—and concludes with an exhibition.
